Planet Crafter Wiki

There are 18 ordinary wrecks on the map plus four procedural generated ones, which are not described in this article. These wrecks contain a wide variety of items and crates.

A torch is strongly recommended for exploring some of them, as their interiors are not lit. Players can deconstruct debris, crates and some of the furniture to gain access to more areas or salvage materials. Wrecks are the most important source of microchips and seeds.

Note: The rest of this page mainly contains spoilers. So don't read on, if you want to discover those for yourself. Click "Show Spoiler" anywhere below to reveal them.

If the wreck contains a Fusion Reactor, some doors will open, after one or more Fusion Energy Cells are inserted there. This may grant access to hidden rooms and extra loot.

After you've acquired a better deconstruction tool, you will be able to deconstruct broken computer racks for circuit boards.

 Some rooms feature deconstructable walls.

Aluminum Hills[]

A shuttle is somewhat hidden near the center of the hills. It contains four crates stored in the luggage compartment.

Arches[]

This huge, curved cargo bay is half buried in the dunes in the very west of the desert. The entrance is from the east using a slightly open doorway.

There is only a single square room, strewn with damaged cargo containers, payload and debris. The trestles can be used to climb the boxes, but a jetpack might come handy for navigating.

The half open doors of the cargo containers can be deconstructed to grant access to the inside.

Cascades[]

The satellite has crashed on a rock in the southwestern corner of the area. It can not be deconstructed.

Central Plateau[]

The crashed cruiser sits on a sand dune in the very north of the plateau. It's located directly in front of the entrance to the Labyrinth Canyons. It has some barrels with nuclear waste and a decent amount of loot in it.

The floor plan below might help you to find your way. It's the same as that of the cruiser on the Red Falls. There are a few deconstructibles to be removed. There are no secret doors. The cruiser has only one floor.

Cracked Spires[]

Three large freight containers appear to have fallen out of a damaged space freighter. Players can enter two of them.

Whether the deconstructible solar panels were part of the freight or have broken off the spaceship is not clear.

A Golden Crate is hidden nearby at 400:5:-246, in the shade under a spike.

Dune Desert[]

This huge battleship is sitting on top of a sand dune in the western half of the desert.

Its name is not mentioned in any messages, but they make clear, that it was Ikhlas's former workplace, who was the sole survivor of the crash.

The entrance is through the damaged flight deck in the north-east. There are 3 decks to explore: The main deck (entrance), a lower and an upper deck.

One crate is hidden in the cargo bay entered from the south-west.

The bridge at the very top of the battleship is accessible entering a broken window. Either wait for the Flora stage and use the giant vine growing there, or use a powerful jetpack to fly up. One locker is in the room downstairs from there.

As mentioned by Ikhlas in message #2, there is a deconstructable wall to the right of the Fusion Reactor, on the upper deck. It contains 3 more crates.

The Fusion Reactor can be activated by inserting one Fusion Energy Cell to open two hidden rooms on the upper deck and one on the main deck. Additional loot:

The floor plans below might help you to find your way. There are several deconstructibles to be removed. The doors open, after a Fusion Energy Cell is inserted. The purple regions show the restricted areas.

Gate Desert[]

Warp Gate

The wrecked warp gate is located at the northern end of the desert, visible from very far away.

The gate itself is climbable but holds no treasure, just like the scattered debris around it.

At its northern end, the entrance of a space station leads underground. During the Lakes stage it gets partially flooded.

A dug tunnel leads out from the space station but ends in a dead end with one extra crate.

The Fusion Reactor can be activated by inserting one Fusion Energy Cell to open a hidden room with some extra loot:

Satellite

The satellite is in the sinkhole close to the western border of the desert. It can not be deconstructed. During the Lakes stage it gets submerged.

Grand Rift[]

The scoutship crashed into a cliff face in the northwest of the canyon. It can neither be entered nor is the debris around deconstructable. Only one crate nearby looks like it has fallen out of the wreck.

According to the message, the pilot's task was to find and register other wrecked ships. Now, you've got to register this one.

The Highlands[]

The satellite is on the flat sand in the southeastern corner of the area. It can not be deconstructed.

Labyrinth Canyons[]

The space station, is hidden in the northern part of the labyrinth. To avoid getting lost between the rocks, it's easier to reach the location from the north or the east.

The body of the station is not easy to reach, because it is propped up on the cliffs. To reach it, pass under it and up the sandhill. Then balance the cliffs back to the north side of the station.

There is also an entrance at the south side, which is reached from up the cliffs by climbing a metal trestle support.

A third possibility is to use a jetpack and fly up to the ramp at the east side.

You have to remove some metal trestles, to walk around freely in the station. So make sure, to bring a suitable microchip. All the metal debris strewn around the base itself is not removable.

A Golden Crate is hidden nearby at 1481:13:650, behind a rock, close to a nearly upright trestle support.

The floor plan below might help you to find your way. There are several deconstructibles to be removed. The space station has only one floor.

Red Falls[]

Shuttle

A shuttle is somewhat hidden in the northeast one of the four caverns. It contains two crates stored in the luggage compartment.

Cruiser

The crashed cruiser sits atop of a giant tree near the entrance from the south. It's accessible from the top hopping down onto the flight deck. To climb the cruiser, the player has either to walk up the hill on one side, or to fly up using a jetpack.

The floor plan below might help you to find your way. It's the same as that of the cruiser on the Central Plateau. There are a few deconstructibles to be removed. There are no secret doors. The cruiser has only one floor.

Steep Hill[]

This big freighter is called Cirella-IV and sits on top of the hill, close to a rock wall. If the player has chosen Starting Valley, it's the first thing they see, while looking out of the landing pod door.

According to a message found within the ship, it crashed in the year 3021, on the 17th day of a trip to Stigmar. Travelling at hyperspace velocity, the Cirella-IV was pulled out suddenly with all power draining from the ship. The crew attempted to make an emergency landing on the nearest planet. It is presumed that there were no survivors from the crash.

A Golden Crate is hidden on top of the freighter.

The Fusion Reactor can be activated by inserting one Fusion Energy Cell to open two hidden rooms with some extra loot:

Toxic Caves[]

This cargo hauler somehow managed to crash INSIDE of a cave.

Its name is not mentioned in any messages, however it is mentioned to be carrying "Toxicity level 5" cargo from "Gafatoo Rz" to "Teferate 4". The wreck has radioactive material that damages the player upon contact. It can be easily reached by adventuring in the Toxic Caves. These caves are located to the bottom right of the map (SW) and are blocked behind ice (500nK) -624:86:-1638.

The entrance is through the cockpit. All that is available here is a message and a single storage crate. The rest of the wreck must be accessed by blowing up the wall with an Explosive. Behind that wall you find the 3 nuclear reactors and 6 crates mainly containing Uranium and Uranium Rods.

Volcano[]

This humongous spaceship crashed into the mountainside in the southeast of the volcanic region.

Its name is not mentioned in any messages. It can be easily reached by walking directly south from the center of the Wasteland. No jetpack is necessary to reach and enter it, but it might come handy in navigating and climbing on top of it.

The entrance is through the damaged windows of the flight deck in the north-west of the biggest piece. There are 2 decks to explore: The main deck (entrance), and an upper deck. It doesn't matter, which ladder up you take, as they all interconnect the same parts of the decks.

The Fusion Reactor can be activated by inserting two cells to open two hidden rooms on the upper deck and one on the main deck. Additional loot:

The floor plans below might help you to find your way. There are several deconstructibles to be removed. The doors open, after two cells are inserted. The purple regions show the restricted areas.

Wasteland[]

This looks like the landing site of a previous Planet Crafter, who failed in their attempt to terraform the planet. It is located in the south of the biome.

All three facilities are no longer usable and have one crate each.

This is Xiaodan's landing site. Nearby is the entrance to their underground base with much more loot in it.

Waterfall[]

This huge cruiseship looks quite small from the outside, as it is nearly completely buried under a sand dune. As a message found in a cave to the north states, it is named "Cinitat-II".

The wreck is found south of the waterfall mountain and can be entered from the north by an open ramp door.

There are 2 decks to explore: The main deck (entrance), and an upper deck. The lounge and the dining hall are both connected by spiral staircases to seperate areas of the upper deck. A cargo compartment on the upper deck holds some coffins with the bodies of the demised excursionists.

The cruise ship was on a 5-week space cruise when it crashed after a seemingly minor incident in the year 3043. There were some survivors, who buried the dead inside the waterfall mountain. There are additional coffins stowed away in a cargo hold.

A message from the survivors can be found in the cave behind the waterfall at -980:90:474. It states, that they went west, but actually, it's found north of the shipwreck.

The Fusion Reactor can be activated by inserting three cells to open four hidden rooms on the upper deck. Additional loot:

Procedural Wrecks[]

In addition to the wrecks listed above, there is a separate category of wrecks that are procedural generated. These are described on an extra page.
