Moons Update Patch #3 - Main branch
Small update to fix some issues
Hello Terraformers!
We've just uploaded a small patch on the main branch.
You need to restart Steam to get it.
This should be the final patch for the moons update.

This update fixes somes small bugs and balance the content of Selenea and Aqualis

Hello terraformers!
It's been 3 weeks now that the Moons Update has been released. We spent this time reading your feedback and trying to fix what we could to improve your overall experience. Our small team of 6 has been hard at work to polish all the content we put into this free update to make it even better.
We couldn't be more grateful as the game just passed 50,000 Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam, and it's so rewarding to see you all play the game in many ways we didn't anticipate!
We will now start to work on our next content. As announced previously, this will be a new DLC. We can already tell you it will be a new planet, with new mechanics and story telling. Codename: Toxicity.
We have other exciting things planned for Planet Crafter, but for now, we'll keep them secret ;)
V 1.524 - Moons Update Patch #2 : Changelog
- Upgraded engine version
- Upgraded network package to improve network performance
- Added new visual information on map when rocket infos t2 is sent to improve understanding of Harvester and WaterLifeCollector,
- Divided animal food consumption by 2. So that animals consume a bit less food.
- Selenea : Balances some loot containers. Add a few more specific resources to allows to leave the planet or explore wrecks (if you started on Selenea). Those containers has been reset, so feel free to reopen containers if you are stuck on Selenea.
- Selenea : Adds a departure trade platform blueprint (in the trade rockets in the astro port)
- Selenea : Water rises sooner
- Selenea : Key Cards can't be destroyed anymore (to avoid being stuck on an intense run)
- Aqualis : Adds moss on giant shells when terraformed

V 1.520 - Moons Update Patch #1 : Changelog
- Aqualis : Adds a satellite on one of the starting patch of sand, containing all items required to build an Extraction Platform and a travel rocket. This is to avoid player getting stuck on Aqualis when they forgot items.
- Selenea : Adds more ores (suflur, aluminium, obsidian) on some places on Selenea. Adds a procedural wreck on the planet. This is to increase chances to succeed when starting on Selenea.
- Adds new posters to procedural wrecks
- Fixed colliders in the interplanetary POD preventing to pick dropped objects in it,
- Fixed an issue with gauges UI slowly drifting out of the screen when opening menus,
- PlanetaryDeliveryDepot can't be deconstructed anymore if containing items in its inventory,
- Fixed an issue with environment colors not properly reset when switching planets or going through portals,
- Improved spawning when switching planet to avoid appearing under the destination platform,

Hello terraformers!
The "Moons Update" is LIVE!
Less than 6 months after The Decoration Update, we are back with our biggest update to date! The "Moons Update"!
We dared to ask : why only terraform a planet, when you can terraform an entire solar system?!
This update will allow you to go to two new moons, once you've finished terraforming your first planet. Once on a new moon, you'll be able to terraform it, while keeping all your blueprints, knowledge and equipment. You'll be able to exchange resources between those planets and even automating everything.
Unlock new technologies, expand your operations, discover new moons, and terraform a whole solar system!
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this update free?
A: Yes!
- How do I play it?
- Terraform a planet (Prime or Humble) entirely (complete terraforming stage), unlock the Extraction Platform and the Travel Rocket. Build a Travel rocket on the Extraction Platform to go to the moons! (You may have to deconstruct the rocket if you already have built a Extraction Platform)
- Alternately, you can start a new playthrough from Selenea, but we do not recommend it, as it's for advanced players only.
- Do I need to start a new game to play it?
- No, you can continue with your save file. Unlock the rocket to travel between planets once you have finished terraforming a planet.
- Can I go from Prime, to Humble, to the moons?
- Yes! If you have the Humble DLC, you'll be able to travel between all those planets & moons!
- Can I go to the moons from the Humble DLC?
- Yes! If you started your adventure on planet Humble, you will unlock the travel rocket once you terraformed Humble too.
- If I play in co-op, can I be on one planet and my friend on another?
- No, all players will play on the same planet or moon at the same time.
- If I'm on a moon, does my terraforming process continue on other planets?
- Yes, all terraforming, drones, ore extraction, autocrafting, etc. continues while you travel from planets to planets.
- If I started a playthrough on Prime, and another one on Humble, will I be able to merge my save files?
- No, unfortunately, you won't be able to merge save files. So you'll have to choose from which one continue.
- I have a problem, something is not working!
- Be sure to update or remove any mods and that your drivers are up to date.

New gameplay mechanic
- Once you finished terraforming a planet, you'll be able to build an Interplanetary travel rocket to go on other planets. You'll keep your inventory, equipement & known blueprints, but you'll need to build another travel rocket to come back. There is new machines to unlock based on a new System Terraformation Index. You'll be able to trade resources between planets.
- Two new moons to explore : Selenea & Aqualis. With specific terraforming stages, unlocks and ores.

Major changes
- You can now build different rockets on the departure platform.
- Each moon have 2 new and unique music tracks
- Some objects (mostly objects that grows things, like farms, animals farms, beehives, food growers, etc...) will now have logistics disabled for their seeds inventory. This should not change anything, as most of the time you don't want to change the seeds via logistics. Vegetables will continue to be pickable by drones.
- Humble : the departure platform will now be unlocked automaticly when the planet is terraformed. You still can find the recipe in the world.

- Tree spreader spawn a bit less trees
- Animal shelter produces more animal terraforming value
- Various changes on machines generation
- Various UI fixes and tweaks
- Change container t3 appearance to improve performances

Quality Of Life patch - Main Branch
Polishing the game before working on the next big update!
Hello terraformers!
We uploaded a new quality of life patch for Planet Crafter
We took some time to iron some things out, answering your feedbacks as usual, just before we started working on our next big update.
Indeed, we have big things in store for all the terraformers out there! We are working hard on the next piece of content for the game, and can't wait to show it to you.
As this will be a big update, we'll take a bit more time than usual to cook it, but we aim to give you more information soon. In the meantime, be sure to join our Discord server and follow us on all platforms!

- Improved vehicle physics, acceleration and steering
- Vehicle now automatically discard collisions with small rocks
- Added the ability to open the inventory from the rover

The DECORATION Update is LIVE!
Decorate your base like never before!
Hello terraformers!
The new "Decoration" Update is now available for everyone!
Once again, Miju is back with a free update, a small end of the year gift from us to our wonderful community!
This update contains 40 new decoration elements, effigies and posters to make your base look cool and the long awaited interior stairs.
One of our goal is to satisfy as much as possible people who trusted us by purchasing our games, so we decided to improve our Humble DLC once again to address your feedbacks. Adding new endings and lore, two new biomes and a new creature.
You'll find all those new furnitures inside the reworked procedural wrecks that we improved to be more fun and easy to explore.
On top of all that, we added a lot of Quality of Life elements, improved performances, tried to reduce memory leaks and potential crashes.
On Humble, you do not need to start a new run to experience the new endings, just explore and wait for new incoming messages.
Your save files will transfer seamlessly to the update. But if you want to try a fresh adventure, feel free to create a new game to fully experience this update!
And remember that you must use the same version to play with your friends.

Full Changelog - v1.404 - The Decoration Update
New decorations
- Added a new interior stair module (Unlock it at a given terraformation index)
- Added 25 new furnitures. Explore procedural wrecks behind portals, deconstruct objects to get their recipes.
- Added 5 posters and 6 effigies that you can find and collect in those wrecks
- All furnitures can now be placed even if colliding with something (it will be yellow if it's colliding, but you'll still be able to place it)
Reworked wrecks
- Reworked procedural wrecks to be more fun to explore
- Added big 6 rooms to avoid the maze feeling
- Only one floor and one set of stairs maximum will be present in any wreck
- Reduce the size of the bigger wrecks
- Wreck are now classified in 3 difficulty (previously 5)
- Increase loot quantity in wrecks

- New button on beacons to enable/disable all of them
- Biolab now have arrows that indicates the front when building

UI
- Improved UI of logistics
- Items available for logistic selection will now appear if there is one in any container (even if not unlocked yet)
- When selecting "supply all" in logistics UI, this will supply even things that are not yet unlocked
- When ui filter chip is equipped, a new filter toggle box appears on the construction menu
- Ore extractors now shows all minables ores even if there is no energy
- For ice melting in world, change the terraformation value display to the end of melting, to avoid confusion
- You can now click on a pinned recipe directly to remove it

- Buttons on machines are now animated when pressed

Hello Terraformers!
It's been a week since the release of our first DLC, and we are humbled (pun intended) by how many of you tried it and discovered the new Humble planet!
We've read all your feedback and are releasing a patch that addresses most of the things you suggested we improve.
We've done our best to capture the experience of the first planet "Prime" once again. Expectations were high and in some areas we succeeded and in others we didn't. Thanks to your feedback, we're still learning how to get the most out of our game. And hopefully this latest patch will improve your overall experience on Humble.
In the next months, we will continue to refine Prime and Humble planets. Then we will continue working on new free updates as we always have. We keep the possibility of making new DLC open, but for now we will focus on the base game for a while.
Please keep giving us your feedback, it helps us learn, grow and improve!

The new planet Humble DLC is now available!
Start a new adventure on the "Humble" planet, terraform once again an entire planet, using some new technology, uncovering its lore and secrets and discover its wonderful environments!
Once you get the DLC, just open the game, create a new save and select the "Humble" planet.
We sincerely hope you will like this new adventure!

The Rover Update is LIVE + DLC announcement!
A new free update and announcing our first DLC
Hello terraformers!
The "Rover" Update is now available for everyone!
It's been a long time since we wanted to add a rover to the game, but we felt that the map was too small to justify it. With the addition of 2 new big biomes, and the ones we added those past months, now is finally the time to drive in Planet Crafter!
You will be able to craft the new rover and multiple upgrades to improve it. Explore the two new biomes: Lush Desert & Toxic Caves and maybe find the new wild animals roaming freely on your terraformed planet!
As usual, we improved existing biomes, fixed some bugs and we hid new secrets!
Your save files will transfer seamlessly to the update. But if you want to try a fresh adventure, feel free to create a new game to fully experience this update!
And remember that you must use the same version to play with your friends.

We heard many of you asking for a way to get a fresh start while discovering new and exciting things once more. So we are building a whole new planet to experience the terraforming process all over again!
We decided to opt for a paid DLC to solidify the studio and be able to offer the best working conditions to our team. Still, we want as many people as possible to experience it, which is why it will be sold at a relatively low price and you'll only need to buy one copy of it to play co-op with as many friends as you want.
We can wait to show it to you all!

Hello terraformers !
Today we are thrilled to share that Planet Crafter sold more than 1.000.000 copies! It's a tremendous achievement for our small team of 6 and we are really gratefull for all the support you all showed us since we first released the Early Access of Planet Crafter two years ago!
This is great news for Miju Games as it will allow us to continue working on the game in the future and implement all the great ideas we have to make it grow even more!
After the 1.0 release and the following Explosive Update that just has been released, we will take some time off this summer to recharge our batteries, and come back even stronger in a few months with new content and exciting news!
But before that, we updated a small patch that will adress small issues and add a bit of content.

The "Explosive" Update is now available for everyone!
We wanted to add a few things in version 1.0, but we didn't have time to do so. So here is a new free update with all this content less than two months after the 1.0 release!
You will be able to use the new explosive devices to access new hidden areas, such as the new Red Falls biome.
We improved the procedural wrecks generation to be more engaging and fun to explore by adding new rooms. And if you're lucky while exploring, you might discover a genetic trait for a new animal species!
Additionally, we added a new skins system, allowing you to change your outfits by collecting
more than 15 skins! This will make it easier to differentiate between your friends while playing in co-op!
As usual, we added new items & quality of life features, fixed some bugs and we hid new secrets!

Quality of life update
There's been some improvements that we could not ship in the last update, so we are releasing a small quality of life update.
By popular demand, you will now be able to trade cookies in space, and automate most of the food recipes.
You'll enjoy a new chip allowing you to pin blueprint recipes to your HUD.
Additionally, it's now possible to upgrade your equipment without unequipping it.
Surprise & Treasure Hunt
As we previously stated, we will make a big announcement in the coming days.
But before that, we wanted to tease you one more time, giving you the chance to discover the reveal before we officially announce it.

New space trading system :
- You will receive the trading rocket recipe by mail after you reached the breathable stage
- The new space trading platform allows to send a rocket containing items to be sold in space

Hello terraformers!
We reached the end of the anniversary temporary event.
Thanks to everyone who participate in the small celebration for the one year of Planet Crafter!
We hope you liked baking some pastries and cakes in the little special bunker!
You will keep all the items you crafted during the event, but the bunker won't be accessible anymore. Due to the popularity of the baking station, there's high chances it will come back in the game in the future, but it's not clear how exactly yet.
After a year of Early Access, Miju Games as a company needs to take some time to ensure it is properly structured. So we are aiming at this summer for the next update but we won't promise any specific date. We already have great ideas for it!
