This feature is exclusive to the DLC Planet: Humble.
The Ore Crusher is a new machine introduced in the Planet Humble DLC. They break down certain ores native to Humble to produce other ores, namely dolomite, bauxite, and uraninite. Because several ores are found in limited supplies on Humble, breaking down these ores are the main ways the player can mine cobalt, aluminum, uranium, and iridium.
When an appropriate ore is placed in an Ore Crusher's input container, the crusher will eventually break it down and deposit the yield in its output container. Each ore has a random chance to yield several other types of ore each time an Ore Crusher breaks one down. Higher tier Ore Crushers break down ore more quickly, yield more ore per operation, and have larger input and output containers. While all three crushers can process dolomite, bauxite, and uraninite, only the T3 crusher can process Cosmic Quartz.
