The Aluminum Hills is a biome found slightly east of the center of the map. The biome consists of large, natural structures made of an unknown rock material. Aluminum can be found on the ground in this biome. This is a good biome to visit at the beginning of the game.
This is the only location in the game where T1 or T2 Ore Extractors can extract Aluminum. The look of this landscape barely changes over the terraformation process.
This area can also be the starting area, if a random landing site was selected.

Notable features[]
- A small damaged shuttle can be found here in the centre of the hills.
- A golden crate can be found hidden on the eastern outskirts of this biome, under a rock structure. Another golden crate is hidden under a rock bridge towards the west leading to the Central Plateau.
